I, Kelly Price of WolfSkunk Designs, will audit source code and/or create a new, completely secure confirmed opt-in solution for your company's commercial e-mail needs. With a custom confirmed opt-in solution, you won't have to waste time or money with customer complaints, bad targeting, Internet Service Provider disconnects or lawsuits and/or criminial charges!!! You would prevent those from happening in the first place!
SPAMLAWS.COM lists 18 states that ban unsolicitated commercial e-mail. Federal legistlation is pending to outlaw it nation wide, as is the European Union and many other countries. America Online has already proven that unsolicitated commercial e-mail is NOT protected free speech.
Don't wait for the goverments of the world to force you over!
I will come on-site and will audit your existing code to see if it is truly confirmed opt-in -- in which the recipient replies back to a request to confirm his intentions. Once confirmed, you have legal proof that they really are "asking for it." If you need a confirmed opt-in solution, I can and will write one using open source languages (Perl or PHP) for far less than outsourcing the entire list. The alternative, opt-out, is expensive with mounting legal fees, constant bouncing of e-mail, terrible public relations, constant ISP switching, and even bankruptcy!
MAIL ABUSE PREVENTION SYSTEMS(MAPS) and HARRIS INTERACTIVE(Nasdaq: HPOL) both agree that by becoming 100% confirmed opt-in, Harris Interactive were getting better quality responces from their customers.
EXCITE@HOME and PSI.NET are under bankruptcy protection right now because they do not remove their spammers. Don't be left out in the cold with a ton of debt. Confirmed opt-in works.
I have created on-site confirmed opt-in solutions using open sourced software for the American Geophysical Union. I'll do the same for you. I can and will put my code where my mouth is.

I am active on the newsgroup news.admin.net-abuse.email, the "first warning system" of unsolicitated commercial e-mail activity. Imagine the PR boost and added profits when you announce that you are 100% confirmed opt-in, backed by a custom-programmed subscription engine by a known anti-spammer... and that anti-spammer backs you up! Imagine getting off the MAPS, SPEWS, Spamhaus, and other public and private blacklists when your company in good faith hires an anti-spammer to build your lists right the first time.
